  • Water is pumped from top to bottom, opposing the bubbles of CO2 gas that rise slowly through the spiral dissolution path with extraordinary contact time. This advanced design ensures a high dissolution rate for efficient use of the CO2 gas.

  • The Reactor 500 can be mounted inside the aquarium or, space permitting, within an open filtration system.

  • For use on live plant aquaria up to 125 gallons.

Tips and Tricks


  • Always use a GFI when installing your internal pump system.

  • Always create a drip-loop with the power cord to prevent water from reaching electrical outlets.

  • Use a pH Controller or pH Computer to switch an M-Ventil Solenoid, which will regulate the injection of CO2 to the aquarium based on the pH value of the system water. This eliminates harmful pH swings and offers an essential element of stability to the live plant aquarium. Typically you will set the pH value between 7.0 - 7.4 for freshwater live plant aquaria.

  • Use the needle valve on the CO2 Regulator and a Bubble Counter to set your initial CO2 bubble count and adjust thereafter.

  • Reactor Extensions can be used to increase tank capacity in 125 gallon increments.

  • The pump tee fitting is designed to accept a 1/2" line from a powerhead pump and has an integrated valve for adjusting to an ideal flow rate.

  • Place the CO2 reactor in an area of good water circulation within your system.
