My current tank is a planted 65 gallon discus set up. I have tried many products that claim to lower nitrates, but have not had very much success. I decided to try this product based on good reviews from other sites and forums. This product WORKS. Two weeks ago my nitrate levels were approximately 15 - 20 ppm. To fully test the product I did not do any water changes during the two weeks, which is very uncommon as nitrates tend to build quickly in my tank, and upon testing i was surprised by a reading of 1 - 5 ppm. I used the bomb method and placed it directly in my tank. I was a bit sceptical of the performance of the bomb method especially considering my air pump is slightly underpowered for the tank, but it performed well. I would definitely recommend this product to other discus owners and would not see why this product could not function well in a salt water setting. Excellent product!..

works good, have to make sure intake is air tight. easy set up. latches for filter top could be stronger, be careful releasing latches. clear canister helpful in checking when to clean filter. good value...

I just recieved this today, it works well in my 16 inch tank, but it is not deep enough for my 18.5 inch tank. I will modify it, but I am very happy with the results in my shorter tank and will recomend to everyone...
