Calcium reactors are designed to produce calcium and alkalinity for your aquarium. They do this by using carbon dioxide (CO2) to dissolve old coral skeleton or other calcium carbonate media which is then dosed or dripped into the tank. When used properly, Calcium Reactors provide a very precise method of maintaining calcium and alkalinity levels within a reef aquarium.
